Marian Botchway, PhD, MPH, CHES, is an Assistant Director at the Eck Institute for Global Health, University of Notre Dame. She has more than a decade of public health experience with training in the social and behavioral sciences. Her research has primarily focused on examining how social network methodology and health communication strategies can improve health outcomes and quality of life, especially among adults in the U.S. and in sub-Saharan Africa. Her body of work includes studies on nutrition, chronic and cardiovascular diseases. Previously, she worked at the Carter Center in Ethiopia and at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia.
