Knowledge Sharing Sessions
The knowledge sharing sessions (KSS) intervention allows healthcare workers and communities to interact. This community-based approach builds on the existing practice of health talks by healthcare workers to families and communities. The intervention fosters awareness, education and increased health literacy for pregnant women and adolescent girls, breastfeeding mothers, their husbands/partners and families in a client-centered environment using a person-centeredĀ approach. KSS is driven by ICT tools including the use of Public Address (PA) systems, laptops, and projectors to create and use audio visual methods. Healthcare workers are trained to use ICT tools to facilitate interactions with expectant mothers, families, and communities. For this scale-up, the data analytics platform will facilitate the analysis of data collected from the KSSĀ sessions, providing feedback that will facilitate critical areas of maternal and infant health (MIH) discussion.
